Literature Text

In less than 24 hours I’ll know,
In less than 24 hours I can stop holding my breath,
In less than 24 hours my anger will increase or diminish,
In less than a single day I’ll understand for myself,
In less than a single day my world could stop,
In less than a single day my emotions may get the better of me,
For in less than that day, those 24 hours to come,
She’ll be home or she’ll be there,
Where she can be hurt even more,
Alone and unable to be with who she needs,
Stuck in a place where they love her,
About as much as kid loves a kid’s meal toy.
So I pray, and beg that she will be home,
Because no child deserves to be left anywhere,
And certainly no loving mother deserves to have her child out of her reach.
well... this was written a few months ago when my niece's BEEP of a father almost left her out in Pennsylvania *growl* it's a long story
